Windows Store is getting crowded with music apps for Windows 8 but, not all of them are good and provide best features. Here we present the 3 best apps which are free and every music lover should have these three.

These apps have been chosen on their feature basis and after going through all the apps of Windows Store, we have concluded with these three Music apps which we think everyone should download.

1 - Music:

Music app comes pre-installed in Windows 8 RTM and it can be used from the very first second. Previously named as the Xbox Music in Windows 8 Release Preview, this app uses your Xbox Live account for music play and purchases. With the option to play music from your library, you can also view the most popular songs in Xbox Music Store. The option to buy music is also there.

Coming to the music playback, this app provides a very easy to use interface with touch friendly buttons. You can play music directly from your library, add them to playlists and also queue them in the now playing list.

The music controls are always on the bottom app bar which is just one right click/swipe away. The now playing music and seek can be accessed anytime by pressing the song name in the app bar. You can view the artist’s bio as well as his/her album history which the app calls discography after going to the now playing tab.

‘Music’ can play music in the background when you are exploring the Xbox store or doing any other thing in the app. The music can also be played when the app has been minimized.

2 - MusicAmp:

This app comes to second position in the best Music apps due to its online stream feature. This app lets you stream any song’s audio (for free) with low bandwidth usage. Although, it doesn’t allow offline playback but, you can find every song by using the Search feature of app.

In addition to the online streaming, you can always view the latest albums, Top English and Arabic songs as well. Best song collections from different singers can be viewed and you can add songs to your wall for later play.

‘MusicAmp’ packs some awesome features but, it also has a disappointment. It requires an active internet connection to run and get content. You can’t open the app if, you aren’t connected to internet but, the streaming features makes it more useful even than the Music app.

It can be downloaded from Windows Store in the Music & Video category. It doesn’t cost anything for now.

3 - Lyrics:

This app has made its way to the third must have app due to it’s unique feature. It lets you view the complete lyrics of a song while you are playing it. The lyrics is written in easy to read style.

You can play any song in the background which is available offline and has been included in your music library. Lyrics requires an active internet connection to view. Lyrics of almost all the songs can be found using the Search Charm but, you will have to enter the exact name of the songs to find the lyrics. You can also view the lyrics of top songs globally as well as in US and UK.

‘Lyrics’ is available for download from Windows Store for free.

Conclusion

Well, these were the must have Music apps which will help you listen to your favorite artist’s songs more easily. Like some other app? Share with us using the comment below and we might add it to our future best apps list if, we find it useful.
