For those who are curious at what the new Windows Store look will be with the upcoming Windows 8.1 update, head over to this link. We are just 17 short days away from Build 2013 and the day Microsoft is expected to release the public preview version of Windows 8.1, the next big update to Windows 8. During Computex 2013, Microsoft actually showcased Windows 8.1 in a demo and we were able to catch our first glimpse at the new Windows Store layout and it looks nice!

Every week, we will feature one app or game that we will rank as the "top" Windows Store app for the week. It doesn't mean that this app is better than every other app out there, it just means that this app should get your attention this week. The following week, we will showcase another great app, and so on. So here we go:

Pianino Synth Piano is actually a pretty cool and free piano app available for both Windows 8 and Windows RT. "Pianino is a friendly synthesizer which surrounds you with nice and warm synth pad sounds right from the '80s. Try to play it along with other instruments too. It really lays the ground for guitar, clarinet or even a real piano," the app description reads.

This app features 4 octaves with 48 weighted keys, a few sound effects, on the fly ADSR, international keyboard support, gesture scroll and zoom, support for Snap mode in Windows 8, amp fader, and more. "The additive synthesiser inside Pianino's audio engine runs at a sample rate of 44.1 kHz. It creates the bubbly harmonically rich pads that bands and keyboards from the 1980s have made popular. And right now: its at your fingertips!" the description adds.
