IFA 2015: Microsoft Exhibit Confirmed
« on: April 28, 2015, 06:03:01 AM »
IFA 2015, this year, is set for September. Berlin, as usual. The event is one of the biggest technology exhibitions around, top three or top four, depending on who is doing the talking.

And while Microsoft products are always present at IFA, via hardware partners, this time around, the company itself will have a presence at the event — this has been revealed during the closing press conference of the IFA Global Press Conference.

This is a preshow to the main event in September, for those unware.

Microsoft was asked whether it would be present this year at the consumer electronics trade show, and the Redmond based technology giant confirmed this in affirmative.

Part of this has got to do with the fact that the timing of this show aligns with Windows 10.

The new operating system is set to be a prime focus for the software titan, and it will use the opportunity to showcase things like smartphones, laptops, and tablets as well as augmented reality hardware powered by its technologies.

We may even get unveils of some new Windows 10 for Phones powered handsets.

Last year Microsoft launched the Lumia 730, 735 and the Lumia 830 at an event held in Berlin, although that was not part of the main show. This changes for IFA 2015, however, in what is sure to a positive development for fans and consumers alike.

Hopefully we are treated to a large presence from Microsoft this year.
