A Look At All The Edge Improvements In Windows 10 Build 14997
« on: December 28, 2016, 10:48:44 PM »

Microsoft has rolled out a wide range of Edge improvements, and it looks like the company is not stopping any time soon. The web browser again picked up some small enhancements recently.

These were noted in the leaked Windows 10 build 14997.

And are coming soon to Insiders.

This internal build that was not meant to go beyond Redmond walls comes with a few interesting features for the Microsoft Edge web browser. First and foremost are improvements that concern the way users work with tabs.

The web browser already comes with options to pin tabs, but starting with build 14997, it also offers an ability to set aside tabs — basically allowing users to save tabs that you they to reopen at a later time during the same browsing session.

Without losing them, that is.

Another thing Microsoft has added is a small tip notification when you first set tabs aside. This ensures that users can easily figure out how to use this feature.

But perhaps the most important thing this new build introduces is tab previews, which can be accessed from a dedicated button in the tab bar. This is something that will definitely help power users, and those that work with multiple tabs at once in the browser.

For the moment, all these features are only available in this leaked build, but they should make their way out to Insider preview versions.

Before general users get access to them in the Windows 10 Creators Update.
