On July 20, Microsoft released new builds of Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Access, and Project for Windows desktop users subscribed to the Windows Insider program. Microsoft says that this week’s release does not include any new features or major improvements.
“Note that we often roll out features (and sometimes even fixes) to Insiders over a period of time. This allows us to ensure that things are working smoothly before releasing the feature to a wider audience,” Microsoft explains in a support document.

Microsoft Word: The latest update includes various performance and
stability fixes for Word.

Microsoft Excel: The update fixed an issue with Edit Workbook button
showing for read-only users. Microsoft has also included a fix for the analytic
chart and grid filter errors.

Microsoft PowerPoint: This update addresses an Open file crash issues
when the existing file was in Slide Master view.

Outlook: Microsoft has finally addressed the scroll issue in the Address
Book dialog.
■
Microsoft Access: Various performance and stability fixes are included in
this release.
■
Microsoft Project: Microsoft fixed a Project hanging issue.
