At E3 2017, Alienware yesterday announced the updated Area-51 flagship gaming desktop. Area-51 now comes in two versions, one version is powered by Intel Core X-Series and the other by AMD Ryzen Threadripper processor. Area-51 is the Alienware’s first 16-core/32-thread desktop PC.

Dell also announced that they will be the exclusive OEM launch partner to deliver AMD Ryzen Threadripper 16-core processor and the processor will be factory-overclocked across all cores. Intel Core i9 processors are for gamers running applications that prioritize clock speeds that run at boost speeds up to 4.5GHz.

The Area 51 Threadripper Edition will be available to order on July 27 and the Area 51 featuring Intel Core X-Series will arrive on August 22, with pricing to be announced soon.
