Demon's Souls successor coming to PS3 & 360 in 2011
« on: February 02, 2011, 11:10:37 PM »
At a press event earlier today, Namco Bandai announced two major US releases for the next two years. Dark Souls--the successor to Demon's Souls--will be coming to PS3 & 360 in 2011 while Armored Core V is due next year.

One of the most unlikely successes of this console generation has to be the From Software-developed hard-as-nails action-adventure game Demon's Souls. In addition to garnering plenty of critical acclaim (including being named as one of GamePro's Games of 2009), the title sold well enough to join the semi-exclusive ranks of the PlayStation 3's "Greatest Hits" line. While the world has been clamoring for a US-released follow-up, the publication rights for the game were a bit hazy during recent weeks. Thankfully, Namco Bandai has cleared things up, announcing that they will be publishing the title in the states later this year. The game will be releasing on the PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360.

In addition to the newest Souls, Namco Bandai also revealed plans to put out another highly-anticipated game by From Software. In 2012, the publisher will release Armored Core V, the latest in the mech-action series, also on both HD platforms.
