Bigfoot Networks Unveils Killer2100 NIC
« on: May 11, 2010, 06:12:34 PM »
Bigfoot Networks has been producing network cards for connecting gaming PCs to Ethernet networks for a while now. The claim from the company is that the NICs reduce latency and make for better game play online. The company has introduced its latest NIC today called the Killer 2100.

Bigfoot claims that the Killer 2100 is the world's fastest online gaming network card. The card uses what Bigfoot called Game Networking DNA that includes a network processor, Advanced Game Detect Windows stack bypass, and visual bandwidth control. The functions work together to reduce stuttering online and game freezing.

The Killer 2100 operates on 10/100/1000 networks, uses the PCIe x1 slot, and has a 400MHz network processor. The card also has its own 128MB of memory and is optimized for use with voice chat services. The card is set to be available "in the coming weeks" at undisclosed pricing.
