Microsoft announced a new HoloLens Preview Build 17743.1000 for the Windows Insiders. Build 17743.1000 is available for Insiders and it comes with general bug fixes. Microsoft is no longer developing any new features for HoloLens Redstone 5 update as the company is more focused on fixing bugs.
“Today we are releasing a new RS5 Insider build for HoloLens, 17743, with incremental bug fixes and stability improvements,” writes Microsoft’s Tod.
• We fixed an issue in previous builds that prevented customers from receiving notifications for incoming calls in Remote Assist. Please use Feedback Hub to log any other bugs that you encounter while trying out this build as well as reaching out on the forums about questions.
Microsoft has revealed that the Windows 10 Redstone 5 rollout for HoloLens would kick off later this year and it’ll be delivered to the eligible devices via Windows Update as part of an automatic process.
By any chance, if you own a HoloLens, you don’t need to update your device manually as the updates are delivered over-the-air for automatic installation.
