Seeing how companies like LG and Samsung already started their CES 2018 unveilings, Lenovo also reacting, bringing forth new laptops and tablets. First on the first is Lenovo Tablet 10, that debuted with Windows on board, but we also have a lot of newcomers in the fresh ThinkPad X lineup. They’re detailed below.

Lenovo’s Tablet 10 is a 10 inch Windows tablet for enterprise customers and it’s basically detachable with a keyboard base. It relies on an Intel Celeron N Series CPU and it’s meant for the healthcare and retail segments. Easy authentication in retail scenarios is promised via a fingerprint scanner. Then there’s the Trusted Platform Module, for business class protection.



Tablet 10 comes with an integrated rechargeable pen and offers up to 9 hours of battery life, plus Wireless WAN support. No pricing has been mentioned, but we do know that the device is coming in January 2018.



Moving on to the fresh ThinkPads, the laptop portfolio includes the new X series laptops. These are the X280 and X380 Yoga models, with thinner and lighter designs, as well as Intel Core 8th gen CPUs, plus improved performance and battery life. Lenovo ThinkPad X280 is 20% lighter than the predecessor, at 2.5 pounds and it’s also pretty slim, at 17.4 mm.



The X380 Yoga provides Active Pen support and secure access, thanks to an infrared camera with Windows Hello. Another major feature of the newcomers is called “Rapid Charge” and it lets the laptops deliver 80% battery charge in 60 minutes. After that, the X280 offers up to 16.6 hours of usage and the X380 Yoga goes to 13.6 hours.

Lenovo ThinkPad X280 is priced starting at $999 and the X380 Yoga starts at $1459. Both will be available this month in stores.



Then we have the ThinkPad T mobile workstations, with Intel Core 8th gen CPUs as well and beefed up security. They’ve got ThinkShutter Camera Privacy, an optional dedicated graphics card and up to 27 hours of usage. ThinkPad T480s weighs 1.3 kilograms and prices start at $989 for the T480 and $1269 for the T480s unit. $1079 is the starting point for the ThinkPad T580.



ThinkPad L was also unveiled, a series of versatile business laptops, with 14 and 15 inch screens, plus a 13 incher. They have optional multitouch dispalys, Intel Core 8th gen CPUs and the ThinkPad L580 is available in a version that features a dedicated AMD card. The products will be available from February 2018, with prices starting at $459 for the L380 Yoga, $449 for the L380 and $779 for the L480.

A special ThinkPad Ultra docking station has been prepared for CES 2018 too, starting at $199, plus brand new ultraslim monitors from the ThinkVision lineup. Expect more details and pictures at CES next week.
