Title: No GUI Boot - Msconfig
Post by: sethm1 on February 08, 2010, 06:05:12 PM
Not sure if this is a tweak …

In Msconfig under the Boot Tab, by checking “No GUI Boot”  will this really save time on a boot up?  Seems it would be more beneficial under XP. > Do Not Touch It!

And while at it- what about navigating to the Advanced Options, on the next screen there is a
“Maximum memory”  - Should I leave it unchecked or set a max or …? > unchecked it's on Automatic it takes mem needed
Next to that is "Number of Processors"  I have 4 chosen.> You mean i940 4 chosen is correct!
Intel® Core™ i7-940 Processor (8M Cache, 2.93 GHz, 4.80 GT/s Intel® QPI 4 cores)

I have a 64 bit Home Premium, with 6 DDR3 RAM,  Intel i740 2.93 Mgz .

thx
Admin.: You did all well (read the Blue remarks)
