We reported three days ago on a dual-screen Windows 10 device spotted in Qualcomm’s promo video for the Snapdragon 8cx processor.

Today we heard a rumor which ties together some interesting strands.
On Twitter, Kevin Cocquyt noticed that the two sides of the device bear a striking resemblance to the Surface Go, and certainly, the aspect ratios of the devices are the same.

Reliable leaker and Microsoft pundit WalkingCat also contributed an interesting titbit – that the keyboard connector of the Surface Go was different from other Surface devices, with Brad Sams saying this was for a “sekret” project.

We also recall that while the current Surface Go is powered by an Intel chip, the device was originally rumored to be an ARM-powered Qualcomm device.
Altogether there is still not much proof, but if Microsoft at one point planned to make it easy to create a dual-screen tablet by connecting two $400 Surface Go tablets together with a special case, this would be a rather safe way to introduce the concept to the buying public, as long as it also comes along with some interesting and useful software experiences.
