« on: February 02, 2017, 02:25:43 PM »
It takes ransomware threats head on, that’s how! This new form of data encryption based threats are all the rage these days, with security vendors struggling to keep users and business safe.

As a matter of pure fact, there have been recent reports that a hospital had to cancel appointments of 2,800 patients due to ransomware infection, while one single gang of ransomware criminals have made over $121 million.

A hotel even had to pay hackers after guests were locked out of their rooms!

In light of these, Microsoft is paying special attention to ransomware, and has built in special capabilities in Windows 10 Creators Update to prevent these types of infections from spreading. Windows Defender is, once again, at the forefront of it all.

And you can read up on this, and the advanced protection coming to the OS soon, here.
