Just came across this thread on Windows 7 Center forums about a new possible Windows 7 RTM Build 6.1.7600.17000.win7_rtm.090717 and thought I should share it with you all. The build string 6.1.7600.17000.win7_rtm.090717 suggests that it was compiled today. However it isn’t available for download yet but it is rumored to be the possible final RTM build which is to be announced in the last week of July.

The authenticity of this build is totally unconfirmed. Lets wait and see whether or not this build turns out to be the very final thing.

I was looking through some Microsoft related website, looking for something about the recommend installation process and saw some reference to build 7600 while there. I noted it at thee time, and though I didn't think to remember which page it was on it made me curious enough to go to Microsoft Help and Support and asked about it while mainly concentrating on what I was mainly curious about it. I did mention it very specifically, asking if was something that should be installed as an update to make the 7100 a bit more up to date. They've been pretty good about their responses, so maybe I'll have an answer in a couple of days. If so I'll be sure to pass it on whatever it is.

:( I keep seeing this number build 7600 and getting the message displayed on my desktop stating that "This copy of windows is not genuine". I have gone to various sites to get a solution, the only one being to call via telephone to get it reactivated, which means purchase a telephone connection for my PC. I paid almost £100 for Microsoft Office software, so what is answer
