Office 2013 Service Pack 1 Released
« on: February 25, 2014, 09:35:32 PM »
Even in this day and age there are some that prefer to wait until the first service pack is out for Microsoft products before deciding to make the plunge. This strategy is usually employed by companies and enterprises.

Well, they are in luck, then, because Microsoft has quietly released SP1 for Office 2013.

The first major update to the Office suite of productivity applications since launch comes in separate packages for both 32-bit and 64-bit versions of the software. And as is usually the case with service packs, these contain roll-ups of all previous released update.

In terms of file size, however, these are hefty.

The x86 and x64 flavors of Microsoft Office 2013 Service Pack 1 will cost you between 643 to 774 MB of data. However those of you that scheduled these via Windows Update will have to download smaller amount, as the company had released smaller updates to the suite up until now.

Anyway, a separate version for the RT version of the suite has also been released.

You can grab the 32-bit flavor here, and download the 64-bit version here.
