Despite the name being too long for its own good, Sin & Punishment 2 is actually a really awesome game. The original S&P on the N64 was just groundbreaking to be as old as it was and it was the first and only game of its kind for home consoles. During Nintendo’s media summit event they released assets for upcoming games and one of them happened to be in-game footage of the upcoming Sin & Punishment 2.
The game is a third-person, arcade-style shooter with melee attacks, off-the-wall anime combat and even flying and vehicle segments. It’s highly stylized and is probably best described as a rail-version of Alaplaya’s S4 League.
Visually, Sin & Punishment 2 doesn’t break any new ground (for this generation) but it still looks good and the gameplay looks as engaging as ever.
