Looking for an easier way to close running apps in Windows 8, rather than having to select each app one by one? There is a feature in Windows 8 that lets you quickly close all running apps, with a click of a few buttons.
Here's how to do it. Open up the Charms bar (
Win Key + C) and select
Settings. Then select
Change PC Settings. Once the Settings app opens up, select the
General tab. Under
App Switching, hit the button that says "
Delete history" and viola! all Metro apps that were running have now closed. Now it may be a pain in the butt to find the setting but it is still better than manually selecting each Metro app and closing them.
