The GUI usually works at 100% ... there were simply a FEW for some reason that failed under the GUI...
The Script is actually involved in every usage... only when ULoader sees the Setupcomplete.cmd it does that instead. Using the SCRIPT I do not remember of any FAILURES.
Not to test and see if you have SLIC 2.1 or 2.0 or NO SLIC. you first have to insure there is no CRACK or PATCH used. a 100% Clean Install, either in Default
Key or Rearm mode. SLIC Dump 3.2

run as admin.... it will tell you.

This is the before on a Acer 5420 Ext, NO SLIC and then after ULoader 8.0 was used. You can also do all this Manually, without any GUI. little harder but ULoader makes it easier to do. If you install the Proper Certificate (License) then use the Proper KEY, it would be almost impossible for MS to tell if Official OEM install or Pirate Install .... That is also why I prefer the Script ... many Manufactures offer OEM installs and they do almost the exact same thing. (Ahh yes, they send you a DVD, and Hide the script or embed the same info into the install.wim.(more detailed and harder to do, and takes a lot more time... like several hours where as ULoader does in minutes.
Difference in UL 7 and UL 8 big time difference... YES. Yes, on AVG giving you a TROJAN Warning... several AV currently will give the same warning... Seems that ????? people sent the ULoader to many different AV Manufactures and told them to SEND A WARNING ... Honestly it is CLEAN. What I do (forgot to mention) simply add the Slc.exe to Exclude list.
Uncompress the iso....X:\win7_OEM then uncompress ULoader 8.0 into X:\Win7_OEM\sources\$OEM$\$$\SETUP\Scripts then modify the SetupComplete.cmd for your Edition then burn to a Bootable 4.0GB USB - when you install your chosen Edition, it is auto activated via your script & Uloader 8.0
jkb,
After the installation of your preferred Win7 version, which automatically activates the installation which you can check by clicking the start orb right clicking computer and then properties. Then do a windows update including KB971033. What I do is install KB971033 only, once it is installed DO NOT restart the computer as directed. Now is when you run the script, the script does does not allow KB971033 to run after restarting the system. Be sure to run the cmd prompt as administrator. I have used the script successfully several times.
After running the script then restart the computer and run slmgr /xpr from a command prompt using elevated privileges. The computer should deliver the following dialog box,

Now you can installed the remaining updates and install your programs.

In an earlier post, I said I would upload the entire program which is my intention to do this coming weekend.
Jkb,
Glad everything worked out and is working for you.
Is SP 1 going to be available as an update from MS? If so, would your post require any additional patches to work or would it remain activated?
YES...SP1 will be available via Windows Update. A beta version is expected in June with a public release in September this year. If you want to give SP1 a preview a Beta Escrow version has been leaked and is available for download here,
http://www.windows7newsinfo.com/smf/index.php/topic,9344.0.html (http://www.windows7newsinfo.com/smf/index.php/topic,9344.0.html)
At the bottom of this post I have placed a list of the Included Updates that appear in this Escrow build, so please see below! Once SP1 is fully decided on and advanced copies are issued, I will then know exactly what is in it, and will slipstream it into a Gold version of Windows7 however slipstreaming entails a clean installation which I know you don't want to go there unless absolutely necessary.
Do you ever cross post on Hotfiles site? I find that they have quite a bit of useful files--often much more that Rapidshare offers. Not sure I will renew my monthly at Rapidshare unless there is a "must have" that gets loaded in the next week or so.
I don't think cross posting to Hotfiles should present any problems. I am sure it would be similar to Rapidshare and if it has more usable files it is better all around.
