One of the most looked after feature apart from the Windows 8 is the upcoming Windows 8 App Store. Microsoft is gearing up for shedding more details about the Windows 8 App Store. More details about the upcoming App Store would be released on December 6th with a 2 hour long Preview event which will take place in San Francisco.
Recently Mary Jo Foley from ZDNet reporting about the same said that Microsoft has invited select developers and some local press people to hear more details on the Windows Store. Though no other details about the event were revealed. Coincidentally along with this event we will also see the new Xbox 360 Dashboard update on the same day.
By far what we know about the Windows 8 App Store is that the store would feature Metro Style Apps (exclusively over the store),the Metro apps will be based on account based licensing model ,limiting the usage of the app for a maximum of 5 machines, users can buy/try apps, also the Desktop apps(non metro apps) can be promoted on the Windows Store if they are fulfilling the Microsofts Desktop App certification requirements and can be discovered over the Windows 8 Store.
