Every Windows 10 user should get the EarTrumpet app installed for a better sound control.

Usually, it’s pretty hard to find some hi-quality apps in the Windows Store, but it doesn’t mean sometimes you won’t be lucky enough to find one.

EarTrumpet is a new app for Windows 10 which can bring better volume control. The volume control on Windows 10 is not that great, as it doesn’t let you change the volume for each app and this is quite disappointing.

EarTrumpet is a very simple application that can be downloaded for free from the Windows 10 Store. It’s going to give you an instant taskbar icon with some additional audio controls that should have been implemented in Windows for a smoother sound experience, in the first place.

When using EarTrumpet, you’ll gain more audio control for each app, meaning that you’ll be able to quickly mute an annoying YouTube video or a pop-up add. You can also mix volumes for all kinds of apps just the way you want.

If you right-click the app’s icon, you are going to be able to switch between audio sources and  render the default audio controls. In case you want to disable the taskbar icon from your default volume controls, you just have to right-click the taskbar, then select the taskbar settings and then go to “Select which icons appear on the taskbar”.

It’s a pity that the app doesn’t replace the already existing volume controls in Windows 10, but it’s still much better to have the opportunity to control the volume for each app manually.

The EarTrumpet app was developed by Windows enthusiasts David Golden and Rafael Rivera. It’s completely free, and you can download it from the Windows Store.
