Cube hasnt released any new Windows tablet since the iWork 7, which is also known as the smallest Windows 8 tablet in the world. However, the iWork 7 didnt bring Cube the success it needed, and Cube has been losing its market share in the category of Windows tablets to fellow brands such as Vido and Colorfly, and they are in urgent need of a flagship device to stem the tide.
At the joint press conference together with Intel and Microsoft, Cube announced their all new flagship Windows tablet the Cube i7, which is a beast in terms of its hardware set-up.
According to Cube, the i7 features a 11.6-inch 1080P IPS display, a 14nm Intel Core-M Broadwell processor at the speed of up to 2.6GHZ, a mighty HD Graphics 5300 GPU, 4GB RAM, and an impressive 128GB SSD SATA3.
Besides that, the i7 also has USB 3.0 port and dual 4G support (FD-LTE & TD-LTE), which greatly enhance its productivity and usability.
Measured at 9.1mm thick and weighs 840g, the i7 is not super thin or slim by tablet standards, but if you use it as a laptop, it is incredibly portable. Even with the keyboard together, the i7 weighs only 1.08kg, easily fits into your handbag or backpack.
The i7 is now open for preorders on JD.com for RMB3,599 ($579).
