New Windows 8 screenshot of setup.exe leaked
« on: February 14, 2011, 05:57:09 PM »
Hey dudes

A new Windows 8 screenshot has appeared....

Uploaded with ImageShack.us

It's build string is:  6.2.7926.0.winmain_win8m2.110211-1159

Which means that this M2 build was build on 11th Feburary 2011 at 11:59.

Let's hope a leak will come during the M3 builds and a pre-beta!

Windows 8 Build 6.2.7926 screenshot of setup.exe leaked: Updated
« Reply #1 on: February 14, 2011, 10:44:42 PM »
Although we haven’t heard much of Windows 8 as of lately, we can be quite sure that Microsoft is hard at work. According to Neowin, the notorious leaker under the alias of “Zuko” has leaked a screenshot of the latest build string, and a screenshot of the setup.exe. This “Zuko” could possibly be the same “Zukonka” who leaked numerous Windows 7 builds in the past. “Zuko” has also been known for leaking some of these builds after teasing with a screenshot, although it is unlikely we will see a leak here with such an early build. The entire build string is 6.2.7926.0.winmain_win8m2.110211-1159. This means the build was compiled on February 11th, 2011. So why should you care? It might also be worth noting that the phrase “win8m2” is in the build string, meaning this could very well be a Milestone 2 build. If we look back at the Windows 7 history, the Milestone 2 build was leaked approximately 4 months after the Milestone 1 build. And Milestone 3 was also leaked approximately 4 months after that. None of Windows 7′s visual features existed until M3. Although Windows 8 is an entirely new project, this gives you a rough idea of what we might be able to expect with Windows 8.

As we had done with Windows 7 NewsInfo and now Windows 8 NewsInfo, you can expect around the clock updates on any Windows 8 leaks.
