At the Eurogamer Expo in Earls Court London yesterday, Oddworld founder Lorne Lanning took stage to talk about Oddworld and why the company moved to a digital distribution only. After that, Stewart Gilray, CEO of Just Add Water talked about what HD remakes they are making. Currently on the PSN store and Steam you can download the following Oddworld titles:
Oddworld: Abe's Oddysee
Oddworld: Abe's Exoddus
Oddworld: Stranger's Wrath HD
Stewart said that they are nearly done with the development of Munch's Oddysee HD and hope to finish development in 3 weeks. Strangers Wrath for Vita will be reaching Sony's QA in 2 weeks. He then went on to talk about the HD remake of Oddworld: Abe's Oddysee. He said that the new game will be titled:
"Oddworld: Abe's Oddysee New 'n' Tasty!"
He showed a demo of the first level in the game on a pre-alpha build running on the PC version currently at 65fps. It will be a 2.5D side scrolling and you'll be able to see the background of what's going on at RuptureFarms. The game will be available in Autumn 2013 and it will be available on PC, PS3, PC Vita and XBLA at launch. He said that he would like to port it to Mac and iOS too.
