//BUILD
« on: June 11, 2013, 05:34:06 AM »
The highly anticipated BUILD developer conference is nearing with each passing day. The event holds special significance for technology enthusiasts as the preview version of Windows 8.1 is scheduled to see daylight on June 26, the first day of the event.

Public interest is high — with tickets for the conference selling out in less than a day.

But for those of you that want to watch the launch of the preview version of Windows 8.1 from the comfort of the Metro UI a third-party app has just surfaced, offering dedicated options for watching the event.

As the official description states:

Quote
“This app allows you to view the sessions for Build 2013 when they get available online as this conference takes place. While you wait for this years conference, why don’t you browse the archive and check out all great sessions 2012 and 2011.”
Intuitively called //BUILD, the freeware application lets users watch and check out the details of every speaker, session and tag. It also provides access to sessions for the 2012 and 2011 BUILD events.

The developer conference is more than just Windows and Surface tablets, however, and offers a whole bunch for software developers that want to keep tabs on the latest happenings in the Microsoft side of the technology world. For coders, this app provides a perfect way to sit back watch the event.

The design and user interface of the app is sleek and simple, yet modern. And as you would expect, the app works on all versions of Windows 8 including Windows RT.
