Dovetail Games is further leveraging its collaboration with Microsoft. The British video game developer and publisher recently announced that it will be releasing two new flight simulators – named Flight School and Flight Simulator – this year for Windows platform.

Dovetail Games says that it will be releasing Flight School in April, which will be followed by the release of Flight Simulator in the later part of the year. So what are these titles about, you ask?

The company says that Flight School is “a carefully crafted and rewarding experience designed to teach would-be pilots the basics of flying a light aircraft as well as the essential premises of flight simulation.”

The idea is to allow new players to learn the basics of flying a plane, getting to know more and more about aviation. A user would learn about how to fly an aircraft utilising a series of a series of tutorials and training missions.

“Our aim is to get back to that place, to restore the former glory of flight simulation as an enjoyable and engaging pastime. Consumers today expect a much slicker experience across all genres. They want simulations that are realistic but also accessible,” Paul Jackson, CEO at Dovetail Games wrote in a press release statement.
