« on: May 23, 2014, 01:51:46 AM »
When Microsoft’s latest tab surfaced, it caused nothing less than a stir in the world of laptops. It was because Surface Pro and its other variants will now give a head-on competition to laptops. The tabs are light-weight and as productive as a laptop can be. This new sensation is called as Surface Pro 3 the third generation of Surface Pro. The curtain was raised from Surface Pro 3 on May 20th, 2014.

Surface Pro 3 specs and features

Surface Pro 3 tablet can replace your laptop

Yes, you read it right! Surface Pro 3 has the ability to replace a laptop. And the reason? It has so many features which are generally expected from a laptop. For starters, Surface Pro 3 has a 12-inch ClearType Full HD display, 4th-generation Intel® Core™ processor and up to 8 GB of RAM. Its battery can last for nine hours while you are browsing the web.

As Microsoft stated,

Quote
“Surface Pro 3 has all the power, performance and mobility of a laptop in an incredibly lightweight, versatile form.”
Here is a list of features that Surface Pro 3 has to offer:

1. It is inter-convertible between a tab and a laptop. All you have to do is snap the kickstand at the back of the tab out and the tab will stand, perfectly balanced, on your table. Simply add a keyboard to it and voila! Your tab just got converted into a comfortable laptop.

2. It is thinner than MacBook air, which is 11-inches.

3. It offers a large 12-inch display with multiple viewing angles. This certainly gives a laptop like experience to the users and helps them to become more productive.

4. Surface Pro 3 runs Windows 8.1 Pro. It gives users the ability to install their favorite desktop software which also includes Microsoft Office.

5. User can multitask using the side-by-side windows.

6. Its larger and full HD screen along with the speakers having Dolby Audio sound is at its best when used for watching movies.

7. Apart from that, Surface Pro 3 is equipped with multiple accessories such as a Docking Station, which will convert the tab into a fully-functional desktop PC and Surface Ethernet Adapter, which will connect the tab to the user’s network.

Two of the most important accessories of Surface Pro 3 are described further. Read on to know more about them!

Surface Pro Type Cover

The Surface Pro 3 Type cover is available in 5 vibrant colors. It serves as both keyboard and as a screen protector. It is ultra thin and has backlit, mechanical keys that offer functionality and speed of a laptop’s keyboard.  It can be attached to the Surface Pro 3 tab with the magnetic strip, which offers better stability.

Surface Pen, a revolutionary accessory of Surface Pro 3

Surface Pen is a revolutionary accessory that makes Surface Pro 3 stand apart from the tablets (and even the laptops!) of its genre.

1. First of all, it is a premium pen made of aluminum, which feels and works like an actual pen.  You can write with it, just like your normal pen.

2. With Surface pen, you can write your notes in your own handwriting. As soon as you click the pen, OneNote opens and you can start writing, just like in your notebook. And you can save on paper too!

3. One of the best features of Surface Pen is that, when you write on the screen of Surface Pro 3 tab, you can rest your hand on it. Don’t worry; it won’t make any marks of your hand on the screen, as Surface Pro 3 is equipped with ‘Palm Block’ technology, for worry-free writing experience. And you can unleash your creative side as well by drawing on the Surface Pro 3.
