Leaked Windows 10 Screens Show New Pinning Options
« on: November 11, 2014, 02:47:32 PM »
Make way for more leaked Windows 10 screens. It appears that Microsoft partners in China have access to newer builds, and they are kind of enough to share.

Interestingly, this new version of the Technical Preview comes with a bunch of new options, some of which have been covered here and here. Windows 10 build 9879 is back with more vengeance, this time, and details of some new preview features are now with us.

More specifically, a few more File Explorer options.

Microsoft just introduced the possibility of pinning your favorite files and folders to the “Home” section of the operating system for faster, easier and more streamlined access.

This can be accomplished by simply right-clicking an item and then selecting the “Pin to home” option. From the look of things, this works quite the same way as the “Pin to Start” feature of the OS.

There is word that the same option will also be available for the Recycle Bin, meaning users will quickly be able to view their recently removed files, easily.

And although it is not yet clear that build 9879 is the version that will be released to Windows Insiders in the coming days, this much is certain that Redmond is working on accommodating as much user feedback as possible.
