Title: New video demonstrates new Start Menu in Windows 9 Build 9834
Post by: javajolt on September 12, 2014, 04:44:10 AM
A new video has leaked onto the web today demonstrating how the new Start Menu in Windows Threshold works on the desktop. The video comes from build 9834, which screenshots had leaked from earlier in the day.

It appears in this build it is possible to use both Start Screen and Start Menu with the desktop, something which is said to be changing in the future.

The video comes from WinFuture.de, who were the source of the original leaks. The video demonstrates use of the new Start Menu, and the ability to re-enable the Start Screen.

WinBeta understands that the ability to re-enable the Start Screen isn't permanent, and most likely will be removed from the operating system before RTM. If users give feedback asking to keep the Start Screen however, Microsoft may opt to keep this option intact.
