new version of Windows 10 Technical Preview is doing the rounds. Windows 10 build 9867 is on its way, and is currently being tested by Microsoft partners.
And word is that Cortana is also included in this one — about time!
Microsoft hasn’t provided too many details on this first ever refresh of the Technical Preview, other than some hints that we should expect a new release very soon. But a lot of details are now floating up via unofficial channels.
There is talk that a lot of enhancements are available in this new build of Windows 10.
It is mentioned that the name of one of the prepared releases is “6.4.9867.0.fbl_cortana.141019-0928”, which is a clear indication that Microsoft’s very own personal digital assistant is now available for some users for testing purposes.
However, Cortana will not be available anytime soon in the public preview versions, so don’t hold your breath on being able to take it for a test drive on Windows 10.
The service is in the very early stages of development, all things considered.
