I pre-purchased Win 7, and I honestly do not remember being instructed to purchase the bit-version (64bit vs 32bit).
I just downloaded my pre-purchase only to find it's 32bit only. Now I'm trying to reach Microsoft to get the 64bit version. >:(
I'm an experience PC user, been computing for more than 20 years. And I don't remember Microsoft clearly telling me that my pre-purchase must be 64bit, should I require 64bit, which I do.
Also, performing a clean install from the pre-purchase version looks a little tricky.
I expected an ISO so I could burn an install disk...... :-\

I'm happy now. I reached Microsoft.
Go to your Microsoft Store Account, there is a Pull-Down window that allows you to pick 32bit or 64bit.
They even offer ISO downloads. :D
The download hyperlink in the email from MS Store won't give you this opption. You have to go to your MS Store account.

Ha I had just logged back in here to tell you about the .iso's on MS Store.
Nice to see you found a solution though. :D

Also - I used easy file transfer for the first time. Nice feature. :D
From Vista I saved my Easy File Transfer to my second hardrive.
Installed Win 7 and MS Office 2007.
Ran Easy File Transfer and all files came back, Outlook was restored, and all my Favorites were in IE.

Not so happy either- Sound & intel chip driver issues. (attempting to post those in the forum where appropriate).

I got my Windows7 from New Egg and they sent me the 32bit and 64bit disk in the box! You install the version you want. It does not run as fast my 7264 X 64
version.
