As compared to the previous tests by the German institute for home users, this session was focused specifically on enterprise and business users of the operating system — those running Windows 10 Anniversary Update, version 1607.
You can take a look at the standings below, and which show only two security solutions achieving the maximum score.
These are Bitdefender Endpoint Security and Kaspersky Small Office Security.
Not the types of software a home user would be installing, for sure.
Both these solutions received 6 out of 6 points for protection, performance and usability, getting in process the full 18 points that are possible in these tests. Both also received the prestigious certification from the institute.
Four other security products in the test managed to get 17 points, not a bad showing at all.
These are Trend Micro Office Scan, Symantec Endpoint Protection, Seqrite Endpoint Security and Kaspersky Endpoint Security.
Microsoft’s security solution, Windows Defender, also put in a fairly good showing, securing 15 points. In other words, while it may not be the best out there when it comes to protections against the latest threats, it is not the worse solution either.
Sophos Endpoint Security and Control was the worst one on this list, with only 14.5 points.
