Cubed: Music player for Android with a 3D user interface
« on: March 23, 2010, 07:50:34 PM »

Cubed is a music player for Google Android. It doesn’t sound better than the default music player or offer a ton of extra features. But here’s what it does have: Some pretty slick visual eye candy.

scan to download
Instead of simply scrolling through lists of albums, artists, and song titles, Cubed lets you find your music by flipping a 3D cube with album art. Give the cube a good flick and it will scroll through the alphabet until it finds the letter with your next songs. Let it sit for a moment and the cube will rotate back to show the album art for the item you’re currently listening to.

You can tap on the album art to bring up a list of tracks from that artist, which you can play or add to your queue. And there’s a home screen widget which comes in three sizes which you can use to control music playback while seeing album art.

Cubed, (also called “3″) is from the maker of the RockOn (http://abrantix.org/rockon.php) music player which will be removed from the Android Market soon. Cubed is available as a free download from the Android Market. The easiest way to find it is to either search the Market for “Rockon” or just scan the QR code to the right.
