Windows XP is no longer a supported platform, and the fan favorite operating system is well on its way of going the Windows 95, 98, NT, Me, 2000 and so on route.

Sure, millions are still running the OS, and it is slowly becoming the favorite target of hackers and cybercriminals as Microsoft refuses to fix any vulnerabilities found in Windows XP. But news reports about it are starting to dwindle, as is its market share.

That is not to say that other companies are not jumping into the mix.

Consultancies and solution providers are using this opportunity to promote their services in helping businesses move their computers from Windows XP to Windows 7 or 8, and whatnot.

One such British company that provides these migration services, PCM, have created a video, simply called ‘Windows XP Funeral’ in the hopes of promoting their services — and it might well be the most awkward thing you will see for a while.

Part funny, part stupid, part odd, part awkward, and well, ultimately useless.

Quality acting, it is not! The company executives probably wanted this video to go viral, which, judging by the view count it has not. It barely has a few hundred views as of this writing.

Windows XP, on the other hand, is regularly shedding users, and the number of computers that are powered by the retired operating system is steadily going down, according to all market research firms.
