Title: Entrepreneur creates solution to iPhone 4 antenna issue
Post by: javajolt on July 07, 2010, 11:54:06 PM

After posting about the iPhone 4’s reception issues, I received a ton of e-mails. Included in those were some interesting suggestions of ways of fixing the antenna problems with the iPhone 4.

One in particular looks like it has promise, and I convinced the submitter, Duane Langshaw, to share his concept in hopes of helping afflicted iPhone 4 owners.

The basic premise of the fix is that there are two modes: local coverage; extended coverage. As you can see from the pictures below, the solution is in the early stages of development.

It’s unclear if Duane will contact Apple in hopes of licensing his technology, but at this point I’m holding out hope that Apple is open to hearing any ideas at this stage.
