Last time we checked in with the folks behind the unrEVOked utility, they’d figured out how to provide users with 1-click root access to the HTC Evo. But that was more than a month ago — an eternity in Android hacking time. Now you can use the utility to gain root access to 5 different Android phones from HTC including:
Evo 4G
Hero
Aria Desire
Droid Incredible
The utility lets you root these phones, which means you have complete access to all the files and settings on the phone, allowing you to run third party apps that might not otherwise work properly on your device. It also lets you replace the stock Android recovery file with a custom image.
