First, Riso, put this topic when u believe it is better
2 - we all know tones of software not supported for W7, lets try to put all in 1 and especially the most used 1
For e.g. - I tried to install and run America's Army game (2.8.4) Everything works fine until u join a server
Then u get the PB kick - UNKNOWN WINDOWS API FUNCTION [131124]
This is the response for evenbalance (PB publisher)- I'm sorry, but Even Balance does not support beta or release candidate
operating systems. Once Windows 7 has been released commercially, Even Balance will give full PunkBuster support for it.

i know that apps with incompatibilty with aero and desktop window manager will have serious issues in a percentage of 75%

The post has been hanging around for a few days.
I, for one, do not understand the Subject Title: Knew NOT working aplications
I am sure there are others who are confused ;)
-
i already said in this forum wich apps are certainly working and wich are not
this topic was created to ease the job you are all trying to do...it seems logical that there are fewer apps that don't work
so i was thinking that we should not complicate our lives with searching for working apps as there are too many
2007-2009 apps should work in a percentage of 95%(exception is made for those without support for vista or support for x64 or small apps and beta apps)
the rest may cause problems because of the new design of windows versions 6.0 and actual 6.1.7xxx.
so i repeat:we should search for known apps that have issues or even not running
hope you understand that this way is faster

nanoz I understand what you are saying :)
What I am saying is that the Title is confusing and grammatically incorrect.
I do not know the speaker, and for all I know they may not have English as a first language.
They prolly mean well.
However the fact remains, as it stands, the Subject Title is nonsense.

Now, Now boys lets play nice. ;D
The title is backward and confusing at best, the point of the thread is understandable. The problem is that there does not seem to be anyone who can fallow basic instructions and the purpose of such a post gets lost.
I first posted a thread about which apps work. It has some basic rules to fallow in order to post. No one seemed to fallow those rules. It was designed so that a GUEST or a Member can come to the forums and use the SEARCH tool as it was intended. This way we don't have 500000000000000 posts asking if something works or it don't, or that we didn't have to get a search back with 1400000000000 links to a particular software. 1 thread, all working apps, easy to navigate.
Yes having a section for non working apps is great and much needed, but how are we supposed to use the search feature when the header of a thread is either misspelled or wrote in broken English? This is when MEMBERS should suggest to the poster in a PM to edit it and word it correctly, Did anyone take the time to help them help others?
The fact remains that a majority of software will work with Win7 while a minority will not, and both deserve equal place in the forums. I have found that some new software will not work with Win7 no matter what mode you run it in while its older versions will run fine. This is why we are "Testing" Win7 and using it as a main OS.
This is a "community" of testers, lets keep it that way. lets help others help ourselves. I will PM the original poster and ask them to edit the thread title so it is clear.

Ok, like fogkeebler said. play nice please.
I agree that the title was grammatically incorrect and have corrected the issue with a better, easier to understand title.
(Applications Known to be Incompatible with 7)
hope this clears up any issues

i,ve found that 9 times out of 10 u can just use compatablity mode to get apps to work not always the case tho
