With all this buzz surrounding Windows Phone 7, some people may have forgotten that Android had even existed. However, it’s time to get excited about Google’s OS once again, as Motorola are rumoured to be working on a flagship device for the upcoming release of Android 3.0 (Gingerbread).

AndroidAndMe name the upcoming device the ‘Terminator’, and describe it as a ‘dual-core superphone featuring NVIDIA’s Tegra 2 processor’. Both Motorola’s CEO and NVIDIA have confirmed that the handset exists, although Motorola are said to have issued some of the strictest non-disclosure agreements, so its unlikely we’ll be seeing the handset anytime soon.

With a dual core processor and Gingerbread on-board, we can expect the upcoming device to provides us with 2x faster web browsing and up to 5x faster gaming performance, which would shamefully overshadow earlier Android devices.

No official release date has been announced, although sources suggest it could land on January 5th. We’ll keep you updated!
