Being an old timer with Windows, there seems to be ceratin things that just seem to belong in many Windows Components. One of which is the Menu Bar which includes (File, Edit, Favorites, Tools and of course Help)
You can Enable or Disable this to your hearts desires by following these simple procedures.
1. Open Windows Media Player.
2. Right click on a empty area on the tab bar area. (See red box in screenshot below)
NOTE: You can also press CTRL+M to turn the Menu Bar on or off.
3. To Turn On the Menu Bar -
A) Click on Menu Bar to check it.
4. To Turn Off the Menu Bar -
A) Click on Menu Bar to uncheck it.
