The jailbreak community is hard at work making sure that you can install officially unsupported code on pretty much every Apple iOS device on the market. It turns out a version of the greenpois0n (http://www.greenpois0n.com/) tool which was launched recently can be used to unlock the new Apple TV set top box. Greenpois0n can also jailbreak the iPad, and newer iphone and iPod touch models running iOS 4.1.

In related news, the developer behind the popular Sn0wbreeze tool is working on an update that will be able to jailbreak virtually any mobile device running iOS 4.1 or earlier. That includes the iPad, iPhone 2G through the iPhone 4 and the second, third, and fourth generation iPod touch. Depending on the device you should be able to jailbreak iOS 3.x through iOS 4.1 using the new version of Sn0wbreeze once it’s released to the public.

You can find more details about the new version of Sn0wbreeze at Redmond Pie (http://www.redmondpie.com/sn0wbreeze-2.1-pwnwagetool-for-windows-jailbreak-for-ios-4.1-devices-screenshots/)… or at the official Sn0wbreeze site (http://ih8sn0w.com/index.php/welcome.snow).
