It is a well know fact I HATE IE8 with a passion. Therefore I proceeded to Remove/Uninstall/Turn Off this defective Microsoft product as per instructions. After following the instructions to the letter, then restarting, all references to IE 8 had been removed, but it is obvious it was still there.. I proceeded to install Internet Explorer 6 Standalone. I was presented with a dialog box stating that a newer version of Internet Explorer was already installed on my computer and setup would exit.
This indicated that I will have to use Opera, Firefox, and or Chrome as an alternative Browser, all of which I am not the least fond of. This is the very reason the EU (European Union) and others have filed numerous law suits against Microsoft. I do believe MS should not be forced into including competitors products into their product but that will have to be left up to the courts.
Just wanted Yall to know, even though Microsoft said IE8 was removable IT IS NOT. Installing the other browsers is the same as if you downloaded then and installed along side IE8.
Hopefully Microsoft will realize how bad IE8 is and fix it!
