Don’t need a dual core processor or camera on your Apple tablet? Then it looks like you can save $100. While the Apple iPad 2 doesn’t go on sale until March 11th, you can pick up a first-generation iPad today for $399 (http://store.apple.com/us/product/MB292LL/A?mco=MjEzNTI0MDM). Refurb models are going for as little as $349 (http://store.apple.com/us/product/FB292?mco=MjEzNTIxMzc).

That’s the price for the 16GB WiFi version of the tablet. But the price cut is across the board. That means a 64GB iPad with WiFi and 3G will now run you $729 instead of $829.

The original iPad is a bit thicker and heavier than the second-generation model, but it’s still pretty thin and light weighing in at just 1.5 pounds and 0.5 inches thick. It’s got a 1 GHz Apple A4 processor and the same 25Whr battery and 1024 x 768 pixel display as the new model.
