Title: Update for Windows 7 (KB2533552) Is it safe to install?
Post by: javajolt on May 11, 2011, 04:28:45 PM
Hi W7NI Members, I have gotten this question from clients that have bypassed the Windows 7 activation process (ha! I did it for them) by one way or another.  Many ere concerned in June with KB971033 and now KB2533552 comes along and the paranoia sets in once again.

Q: Update for Windows 7 (KB2533552) Is it safe to install?

Update released 05-10-2011.

This is from the description MS provided:

Quote
This update may be required before selected future updates can be installed.

This is part 2 of the question.

Is it safe to install or will it break activation?

A: Installed yesterday afternoon and still activated. So it is save to install.

Hope this helps relieve some of the stress some of you may be experiencing....jj
