It is sometimes worth reading articles by other folk.
This blog post talks about a few of the improvements that will be in our Release Candidate (RC) based upon customer feedback. There are many under the hood changes (bug fixes, compatibility fixes, performance improvements, and improvements) across the entire dev team that we just don’t have room to discuss here, but we thought you’d enjoy a taste of some changes made by three of our feature teams: Core User Experience, Find & Organize and Devices & Media. The comments in this article come from a variety of verbatim sources, with identifying information withheld.

wow that's great, but i wonder if win7 rtm is actually going to have a surprise or more for us
-
I do really hope that any surprises are nice ones.
I hope we are not getting to trusting of MS :o
I practice a "No Surprises" work place. That way you have some control over things ;)
-
yeah ...we all know microsoft ;D ;D ;D ;D
i am really confused as i don't understand why rc can come so soon...i was thinking of many many new changes before the rc...seems like only bugs fixed in the meanwhile is the only noticeable difference
-
They will do a 80/20 job.
We will only get something like 20% of what we think is important and essential.
They will go for a Quick Win and claim they fixed over 80% of what was found to be faults and errors.
-
i really think we will see some very pleasant surprises in the RTM. MS is going to get it right this time. if they don't we here in the US will brobably be bailing them out too.
both blogs we good reading, thanks for posting them
