Title: 64bit flash
Post by: phat vapor on July 05, 2009, 02:43:55 AM
Does anybody know when Adobe are going to sort their sorry excuses for lives out and release a version of 64 bit flash that will work on windows. it cant be that hard considering the Linux version was available 6 months ago!!!
its really annoying me using ie8 - 64 cos its just so quick and then having to switch to a 32 bit browser when i come to a site that uses flash!

If they're smart it'll come around the same time as Windows 7, since that is a lot of potential customers for them due to the mass distribution of new 64-bit OS's and computers.

The word is that Adobe and Microsoft are having a little tiff, because of MS's XPS format that is intended to give Adobe's PDF a run for its money.  Microsoft seems to be waging war on multiple fronts at present,

Bing, Google, or Yahoo?
IE8, Chrome, FireFox, or Chrome?
Windows, OS, or Linux?

but I am sure at some point in time (whatever that means), Adobe will pull their head out of their _ _ _ and produce a 64 bit flash, as I agree it is needed.
