Today we are adding a new line in our rogue-list - Windows 7 Fix. The problem with this criminal is not only that it is not going to fix your computer, the problem is it is even going to unfix it!

The rogue creeps into your computer via Trojans and presents itself as an analysis and optimization program. In fact, however, it is just a malware using false alerts and warning messages in order to scare you into thinking your computer hard drive is having problems. The purpose of these frightening pop-ups is to make you buy the fraud program - Windows 7 Fix. Do not click on any of these alerts, otherwise the program will be automatically downloaded and installed on your PC!

Still, if the criminal manages to get installed on your computer, it will start automatically whenever you login to Windows

Its main job will be to bug you with alerts, some of them from the Windows taskbar, when you try to start a program or delete files. At a later stage, it will request from you to authorize a scan and the scan will definitely show fake threat results. The rogue will also close programs as soon as you start them and will hide the content of some of your folders in order to make you believe that there is a major problem in your system. Do not pay any attention to these alerts, fake scan results and fake errors. They are only made-up to make you believe you should purchase the totally fraudulent program!

WARNING: In case Windows 7 Fix has already managed to creep into your PC, make sure you do not delete any files from your Temp folder! When installed, the rogue delete different shortcuts from your computer, thus they will disappear from your start menu. However, the criminal stores backups of the deleted shortcuts in the folder %Temp%\smtmp. These backups will be needed for the recovery of your normal Windows Start Menu.
