Title: New boot manager found in Windows 8
Post by: javajolt on September 15, 2011, 07:16:42 AM
As with all pre-release software, hackers and enthusiasts love to search through the Operating Systems files to find new things that Microsoft are yet to talk about. This time, we've found a new boot manager!

It's been years since Microsoft updated the boot manager, it's practically stayed the same since the beginning. Now however, the latest Windows Developer Preview includes a brand new and improved boot manager, with the Metro type UI.

The new boot manager includes many new options, with the ability to "refresh" and restore your PC, directly from the boot manager.

Microsoft is hard at work on Windows 8, with a Developer Preview available now, a beta is rumoured to be available in January 2012 which will include more app's and more features.

I have Ubuntu installed in my system in addition to Windows 7 and Windows 8. The new boot manager of Windows 8 did not recognize Ubuntu. But then I changed the default OS to Windows 7. The computer opened with Windows 7 boot manager with Ubuntu added to Windows7  and Windows 8.
