Title: Can the 7264 RC be used to upgrade a previous RC 7077?
Post by: jkb242 on July 17, 2009, 04:19:20 PM
Activation and setup of 7264 works perfectly--well written, with flawless source files when installing from scratch----thanks to all who contributed to this!! I did this on a blank spare drive.

What I would like to do is update my existing RC 7077 rather than replace/lose the program files I have already installed under RC 7077.  Is this possible?  If the former version is working fine, is there a possibility that I will have to patch 7264 when 7077 is updated, if the update is indeed possible?

Much thanks to all for this great resource!!

Build 7077 is still a Beta version, 7100 is the RC, and 7264 is considered pre RTM requiring a clean installation.  I have just installed Build 7600 which many believe to be the RTM, and it too required a clean install.

Good luck what ever you decide!
