Along with the Consumer Preview release we saw the release of  the Metro apps store for Windows 8 i.e the Windows Store made available for the users so that they can try out the new Metro apps on their Windows 8 Consumer Preview build. With some preloaded apps as well as apps releasing right from the day one of the store release ,with the apps like Photobucket official app and some eReader Metro apps making their way into the Store.

So if the numbers are any indication,it looks like Microsoft already has a winner in their hands and a great successor for Windows 7.They would love to see these numbers get converted into license numbers with the release of  final version of Windows 8 by the end of this year.
