Post by: javajolt on March 19, 2012, 10:05:37 PM
There are times when you want to take the screenshot when you are using windows, with the release of windows 8 Microsoft has decided to offer this feature to every windows user and its so simple that anytime you want to take a full screen screenshot of the current monitor screen, you can take screenshot full screen in windows 8 just by pressing windows key + print screen on your keyboard. Once you press this key combination on windows 8, screenshot of the entire screen area will be taken and saved as PNG file in My pictures folder of the current user as shown in the image below.

Every time you take a screenshot it will get saved as screenshot.png if there is another file or a old screenshot exist there with the same file name it will automatically save the new screenshot as screenshot(2) and so on. But the limitation of this feature is that right now it takes only the full screen screenshot in windows 8. In case you want to take a screenshot of a region or window please search for the snip tool. It was introduced in windows 7 in start and it does come in windows 8 preinstalled as we just checked.
