Title: No updates

My windows 8 has done no updates since 06-12-2012. When I check for updates, I get a notification that the check failed. I know that there has to have been some updates because it shows my av def out of date.  Any Ideas???

Fixed the problem. Formatted the hard drive and downloaded latest version of the preview. Works ok now.
